The trailer also gave us a glimpse of the game’s co-op mode which showed a couple of Bandana Waddle Dee’s abilities. If you’re interested in learning more about the co-op mode in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, then stick with us through this brief guide.

To answer your question more bluntly, yes, Kirby and the Forgotten Land has co-op mode. And from what we saw in the trailer, the second player will seemingly be capable of throwing Bandana Waddle Dee’s trusty spear, coupled with an Area of Effect attack that has spears raining down on the enemy.

The second player might also be able to make use of Bandana Waddle Dee’s Waddle Copter as well. This can be used as a form of traversal and attack. As the franchise makes its way into a full 3D and slight open world game, it only makes sense that the highly anticipated The Forgotten Land comes with a co-op mode, which is also fairly new to the Kirby franchise.

Previous Kirby and the Forgotten Land titles on Switch only features a strict 2-player co-op and appeared to be couch co-op only.
