If you took Electronic Arts’ Battlefield series and took out a bunch of polygons to make it look like Minecraft, you would get BattleBit Remastered, a multiplayer first-person shooter on a massive scale. Battle it out in huge territory control wars that can support up to a whopping 254 players! We know you are eager to jump in, so we are answering the question: Is BattleBit Remastered free to play?

Can you play BattleBit Remastered for free?

Although BattleBit Remastered looks like a relatively simple indie project, you should know that the entire game has been in development for several years now and the team only consists of three people. The game just released into early access, and the team is eager to get people in on the experience.

Since the game already seems to be pretty stable right now, that usually means there is a price tag that comes with it; BattleBit Remastered is not free-to-play and costs $14.99 USD on Steam at the moment. The team has not commented on whether this price is set in stone, but they also mentioned that there are currently no plans for microtransactions.

BattleBit Remastered is already getting stellar reviews, as the game seems well-designed from the get-go. There is actually a solid experience here, and many players are contrasting this successful launch to the disastrous launch of EA’s own Battlefield 2042.

When you compare BattleBit Remastered‘s humble $15 price tag to a triple A shooter that typically costs $60-70, it doesn’t seem so bad, especially when said triple A games might not be the most stable games at launch. Just judging from BattleBit Remastered’s review page, you are probably getting the most bang for your buck.
