Enhance and rank-up your gear!

I’m The One is ALL about your gear. You will not get anywhere if you gear is not up to date, so enhance away! We are totally serious – you can be completely dominating one floor with your underpowered gear, then as soon as you hit the next floor you will suddenly be dealing no damage.

Difficulty spikes occur frequently and quickly in I’m The One, so you need to make sure that you are constantly enhancing your gear.

Enhancing only needs gold to do, so this is the thing you should be doing the most. When you collect enough gear shards you can “star-up” your gear, which increases their rarity and maximum enhance rate. Basically, their potential to become even stronger increases. Try to collect as many shards as you can!

Try out different skills!

You can have three active skills equipped at once. These skills must be activated manually (at least until you reach floor 60), but they do massive damage to enemies around you. Each skill has a different utility use, where some just focus on damage while some focus on protecting you from attacks. Experiment with them all!

One thing to note is that you will unlock “runes” for your skills as you progress through the dungeon. Runes will alter your skills in a small way – the poison rune for Whirlwind will poison enemies on top of damaging them, as an example. Each skill has its own set of runes, so try them all!

Keep collecting pets!

Pets are companions that can aid you in battle. At first, you can only have one out at a time, and it will fight alongside you. However, even if you do not have a pet deployed, its passive stats will be added into your own. Basically, the more pets you have, the stronger you are! Be sure to log in every day to collect your free pet chest!

Try to level up your pets evenly. In order to have two pets deployed at a time, you need all of your pets’ levels to collectively be 300, so switch them out every now and then to distribute the experience evenly.

Collect artifacts for permanent boosts!

Upon reaching floor 20 you will unlock Artifacts. Artifacts are special kinds of gear that permanently increase stats in a way, like how much gold you make or how much damage you do. In order to open artifact box, you must first spend red gems. Red gems are acquired by resetting your progress.

If you go into the red gems section of the artifact menu, you can see the exact exchange rate. For sacrificing a certain amount of floors, you will earn red gems in return. Obviously, the farther you are, the more gems you can get when you decide to do this. It is ultimately up to you when you want to perform this, but do it fairly often so that you can get lots of artifact bonuses.

Pick the right talents!

After reaching a certain floor you will unlock Talents. Talents are passive skills that boost your hero in some fashion or another. There are three trees that each focus on different aspects of your hero.

The Devastation tree focuses on raw power – go down this tree if you want to bring the pain to your foes. These talents focus on improving raw attack power of your skills and boosts your stats.

The Arcane tree is for those who like to wield the elements. This tree focuses on specific skill runes, like the aforementioned poison runes. These talents increase your rune damage.

The Soul tree is the auxiliary tree that focuses on support talents. The talents in this tree will increase your offline earnings, your active gold earnings, your pet stats, and red gem exchange. If you do not know what to spend your talent points on, this tree is always a good pick.
