A really beautiful idle game, Idle Medieval Tycoon challenges you to build a medieval kingdom by taking care of multiple provinces in a row. And we’re here to help you get better at it by sharing some Idle Medieval Tycoon cheats and tips in our complete guide.
Compared to most other idle games out there, Idle Medieval Tycoon is extremely fast paced. After a couple of hours of playing, I was already restarting in a new village with a 466% bonus to my income. It’s that fast paced that I barely managed to put it down in order to write this guide.
So let’s get the most out of it and let’s find out how to play Idle Medieval Tycoon in our tips and tricks article!
Always have an income multiplier running
You can watch a video ad to double your village’s income for 4 hours. You can watch six ads in a row and have it running for an entire day. Make sure that you do this because your progress will be a lot faster and smoother with this boost activated.
How to take advantage of the Wizard
Every now and then, the wizard will appear, challenging you to tap the screen as fast as possible in order to earn some serious money. But you can make it even better!
When you see the wizard’s icon, don’t hurry to tap it. Instead, use up all your money to buy as many upgrades as possible. This will in turn increase the amount you’ll earn per tap from the wizard. Make sure to do this each time the wizard appears!
Then, when it’s tapping time, place your device on a flat surface (like a desk) and tap with both hands. Six fingers is what I use and the best I got is around 520 taps. That’s a lot of taps and I usually end up with around 480… but you can’t get that many unless you use both hands when tapping!
Upgrade from the bottom to the top
When upgrading the businesses, things are relatively simple, as you will have to look at two important things: milestones and value for money.
When you first start (until you reach level 100 with all buildings), milestones seem to be a bit more important to get than upgrading from the bottom to the top, because you need that speed boost to get more money fast.
Therefore, in this case, make sure to get your businesses as fast as possible to level 25, then 50 and then 100 – from the top to the bottom.
But once you reach level 100 with all your businesses, things change a bit and you should always invest as much as you can from the bottom to the top. This way, you will increase your earnings a lot more and progress will be a lot faster.
Complete the daily missions
After the first village, when you’re rewarded with copious amounts of money for reaching a specific upgrade stage with your buildings, daily missions kick in.
These will challenge you to do various things in the game and you should do your best to complete the dailies each day because they have awesome rewards for you. Just check them out constantly and get them done!
Business upgrades, tech & advisors
Like most idle games out there, Idle Medieval Tycoon also throws at you a ton of different upgrades and boosts for the existing businesses. We’re going to talk about them below and how to get more of them.
Business upgrades: these are the easiest to obtain since you buy them with regular coins. They offer various boosts and should be purchased first, as soon as you have enough money for one or more.
Technology: These come from chests that you can buy with gems or get from watching ads (another reason to watch all six allowable ads each day!). They give you various boosts to the businesses and you get better results from rarer chests, which can also be obtained from completing the daily missions.
Advisors: These can be purchased with regular coins (a ton of them too) or gems. The better ones are more expensive and they always come randomly. They usually give you extra levels for a building type, which is extremely useful early on in the game.
Tap the villagers
If you keep an eye on your kingdom, you will see that the people there will sometimes get a shining beam above them. This doesn’t mean that aliens are about to abduct them! It means that they have some rewards for you, usually in the form of a lot of coins or a little bit of gems.
Either way, make sure that you tap them as soon as you see them as the boosts offered are extremely useful. Plus, sometimes you need to do this in order to complete the daily missions.
When to move to the next village?
No matter how much you get to enjoy playing a specific village, there will come a time when you will simply have to move on and start anew.
Whenever you do so, you spend the intel collected (which is related to the value of your kingdom) to get a huge boost to income. This basically means that you’ll find it a lot easier to upgrade your businesses and level them up.
I would recommend switching to a new village not when you meet the requirements to do so, but when buying new upgrades (in batches of 10) for your kingdom becomes very difficult and you have to wait a lot of time to afford such a batch.
By doing this, you make sure that you start anew with a maxed out boost and playing in the new village will be a lot easier. So probably doing a reset every day or every couple of days is the way to go if you are very active.
