With Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon being a very different game from the very first entry in the series, Relics work very differently in the two games. This still hasn’t prevented fans from having expectations, as many were hoping to see relics from the original game, like the Chaos Sphere, make the jump to the new puzzle-meets-roguelite game.

So, is the iconic Chaos Sphere in Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon? Let’s find out.

The Chaos Sphere is a Relic fans of the original Shovel Knight know well, as it is one of the first ones available in the game. This Relic allows Shovel Knight to launch up to two bouncing green balls that damage every enemy they touch.

Unfortunately, the Chaos Sphere is not available in Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, so it is not possible to use it in any way. While this is a shame, the game features plenty of unique and interesting Relics, so it’s not like you will be missing it too much.

Something like the Chaos Sphere, to be fair, would have been extremely overpowered in the context of Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, so it kinda makes sense that the developer preferred to go with something new, rather than nerf something that is so beloved by Shovel Knight fans.
