Link’s journey in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is extremely dangerous, as the young hero will have to face all sorts of enemies during his travels. While proper usage of the shield can reduce damage, it is impossible to avoid getting damaged altogether, and, as such, you will have to use potions to heal. Not that all the potions included in the game are used for healing, as some of them improve Link’s stats so as to make the game’s challenges a little easier.

Using potions in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is quite simple. All you have to do is press the R button on the controller to bring up the radial menu, and then pick any Potion in your possession. Let go of the R button to exit the radial menu and then press the A button to drink the Potion.

How to Get All Potions in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD features different potion types with different effects. Potions can also be upgraded for improved efficacy. Below, you can find a list of all potions and their upgrades and how to get them.

Air Potions

  • Air Potion – Purchase from the Bazaar for 20 Rupees – Slows down oxygen consumption for 3 minutes.
  • Air Potion + – Air Potion, Skyloft Mantis x2, Sky Stag Beetle x2, Lanayru Ant x2 – Grants infinite oxygen for 3 minutes.

Guardian Potions

  • Guardian Potion – Purchase from the Bazaar for 200 Rupees – Halves all damage received for 3 minutes.
  • Guardian Potion + – Guardian Potion, Starry Firefly x3, Faron Grasshopper x1, Eldin Roller x2, Blessed Butterfly x3 – Grants you immunity to all damage for 3 minutes.

Heart Potions

  • Heart Potion – Purchase from the Bazaar for 20 Rupees – Restores 8 hearts.
  • Heart Potion + – Heart Potion, Woodland Rhino Beetle x1, Volcanic Ladybug x1, Blessed Butterfly x3 – Restores all hearts.
  • Heart Potion ++ – Heart Potion +, Sand Cicada x1, Eldin Roller x1, Deku Hornet x1, Blessed Butterfly x3 – Restores all hearts, can be used twice.

Revitalizing Potions

  • Revitalizing Potion – Purchase from the Bazaar for 50 Rupees – Restores 4 hearts and fully recovers the shield gauge.
  • Revitalizing Potion + – Revitalizing Potion, Woodland Rhino Beetle x2, Skyloft Mantis x2, Deku Hornet x3 – Restores 8 hearts and fully recovers the shield gauge.
  • Revitalizing Potion ++ – Revitalizing Potion +, Woodland Rhino Beetle x2, Sand Cicada x1, Lanayru Ant x3, Gerudo Dragonfly x1 – Restores 8 hearts and fully recovers the shield gauge, can be used twice.

Stamina Potions
