In this guide, we show you everything you need to know on how to unlock Android Shadow in Sonic Speed Simulator!

Unlocking Android Shadow in Sonic Speed Simulator

In order to unlock Android Shadow, you must complete the new event, “Android Anomaly”. You can see the event pedestal in the Green Hill Zone hub, if you walk over to the left. Approach the pedestal to see more details about the event.

To complete Android Anomaly, you must collect 600 Rebirth Energy. There’s a reward track for the event, and collecting enough Rebirth Energy will net you the reward. The full reward track includes:

  • 100 Rebirth Energy: Android Trail
  • 200 Rebirth Energy: Timekeeper Chao x 2
  • 300 Rebirth Energy: Timekeeper Chao x 3
  • 500 Rebirth Energy: Black Shot Hoverboard
  • 600 Rebirth Energy: Android Shadow & 500 Red Rings

Rebirth Energy is mainly obtained through completing Time Trials. Even if you’ve completed a Time Trial before, you can run it again and receive the same amount of Rebirth Energy as you did the first time.

The most efficient way to farm Rebirth Energy is to unlock your zone’s last Time Trial, then just keep running it over and over again until you get enough Rebirth Energy.

Unfortunately, this means you’ll be stuck doing the same Time Trials over and over again, especially if you only have Green Hill Zone unlocked.

If you’ve progressed a lot before the big overhaul to Sonic Speed Simulator, then you may already have the future zones unlocked. If that’s the case, we highly recommend doing the Time Trials there, so you can get more Rebirth Energy.

Thankfully, as an added bonus, unlocking Android Shadow is one of the required steps in order to unlock the true Shadow as a playable character.
