All players will need to link their Pokémon Home and Pokémon GO accounts before they can start transferring Pokémon. To link your accounts, all you need to do is:

  • Open the Pokémon GO app.
  • On the map, click the Poké Ball icon.
  • At the top right of the screen, select the Settings button.
  • Tap Pokémon HOME.
  • Sign in using the Nintendo Account associated with your Pokémon Home account.

After successfully linking your accounts, you will be able to view all your information in the Pokémon HOME section of the Settings menu. From there, simply click on Send Pokémon to start transferring your Pokémon to your Pokémon HOME account. Tapping the Send Pokémon button will take you to the GO Transporter menu. Once you’ve decided which Pokémon you want to send to Pokémon HOME, tap Transport to confirm.

Keep in mind that the Pokémon sent to Pokémon HOME cannot return to Pokémon GO. The GO Transporter utilizes GO Transporter Energy to send Pokémon to Pokémon HOME, and the amount of energy needed relies on the Pokémon being sent. You can choose the Pokémon you’d like to send to view how much energy will be needed. You can even charge your GO Transporter with the help of PokéCoins.
