What Is Terastal

You won’t get bored in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet as you can explore a large open world riding Koraidon and Miraidon, hunt various Pokémon and use features unique to the series, such as the Terastal Phenomenon. This new feature allows you to boost one of your Pokémon at any time during the battle.

You can Terastallize a Pokémon, which will give it bonuses to defense and attack, and change its type. And these changes and bonuses depend on your Pokemon’s Tera Type. But if you don’t like the Tera Type of your Pokémon, you can change it for 50 Tera Shards at the Treasure Eatery in Medali.

How to Terastallize Pokémon

First, you need to head to the Academy and fight Nemona to see the Terastal Phenomenon in action. After that, you will encounter Team Star grunts. And during this battle, Nemona will give you Tera Orb, an item needed for Terastallizing.

And by defeating Team Star grunts, you will be able to use this feature in your next battles.
