To hatch eggs on their own, you simply need to travel enough steps that the egg requires to hatch. If you want to waste time for some reason, you can do this walking.
The preferred method would be to do this on your bicycle though, on a nice and long path, traversing back and forth until the egg hatches. Doing this shouldn’t take more than a few minutes, but what if we told you that there is a way to make this process even faster?
You can cut the steps required to hatch an egg in half if you have a Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor in your party along with the egg(s) you want to hatch. Yup, just catch any Pokemon that have either of the two mentioned abilities and stick it in your party while you’re trying to hatch the egg.
If you’re trying to hatch an egg of a starter Pokemon that would normally take 5,120 steps to hatch, it will only take 2,060 steps to hatch when in party with the Flame Body/Magma Armor Pokemon!
