The effects of Frostbite can be quite annoying. Once afflicted by this ailment, Monsties may be too cold to act in battle, thus skipping a turn. When you reach the Loloska Wintry Way for the first time, there is no way to prevent getting frostbitten, so you should focus on reaching Kuan Village as quickly as you can. A shop inside the village sells Hot Mist, a very useful item that prevents Frostbite on the field until you reach a village. Completing the More Layers! quest will also unlock a crafting recipe for Hot Mist, allowing you to craft the item whenever you want.

If using items is not exactly your thing, you can prevent the effects of Frostbite in a few other ways. Any armor with Cold Resistance will negate Frostbite, but you probably won’t get access to any of them until later in the game, so you will be relying on Hot Mists for a while. You can also use a Talisman with Cold Resistance to achieve the same effect.

Lastly, some Monsties are naturally resistant to cold and to the effects of Frostbite so make sure to bring ice-based Monsties when you are exploring Loloska Wintry Way.
