How to Get the Member Card in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

The item called Member Card may be unfamiliar to some of you just getting into the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl games, but players who have played the original Gen 4 games may have a clearer idea of what it is.

The Member Card is an item required to unlock the mysterious locked house in Canalave City, where you could encounter and fight Darkrai, a legendary Pokemon who acts as one half of the Lunar Duo, its counterpart being Cresselia.

Is the Member Card Available in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?

The Member Card, as of now, does not exist in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. So you must be thinking that Darkrai can just be obtained through some other method implemented in the remakes, right?

Well, no. There is currently no way to encounter Darkrai in the Pokemon BDSP games. The locked house in Canalave City still exists, which confirms one thing: Darkrai will be added into Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl sometime in the future.

Just like Darkrai, other Pokemon that were obtainable only through events in the original Generation 4 games, such as Arceus, are also not available in the remakes. All of this just further hints at the possibility that these Pokemon will make their appearance through DLC released by ILCA and The Pokemon Company sometime in the near future.

So, while the Member Card and Darkrai cannot be obtained as of now, make sure to keep your eyes peeled and ears open for news of it in the future, which we will be sure to cover.
