Shaymin, the cutest Mythical Pokemon to have ever been released, was first introduced in Generation 4, in the original Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games.
Like many other Mythicals, Shaymin has a balanced stat spread, with 100 in each stat and a 600 BST (Base Stat Total). Shaymin possesses the singular Grass typing, but such is not the case with its alternate form.
Shaymin’s base form is known as the Land Forme, and its alternate form is called the Sky Forme, where it gets the Grass/Flying typing. It still possesses a 600 BST, but its stats are now more heavily focused into its special attack and speed and less into its defenses.
How to Get Shiny Shaymin in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Currently, there is no way to get Shaymin in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, so catching its shiny variant is not even a possibility.
In the original games, it could only be encountered through an event, along with other Mythicals like Darkrai. And as of now, the event to encounter Shaymin has not been released for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
We can be sure that the events to encounter the Mythical Pokemon will be added into the game sooner or later by the developers, as there were glitches in the game that let people encounter Shaymin, as well as Arceus. Now, these glitches have been patched out of the game, but at least we have confirmation that we can catch and add these amazing Pokemon to our party in the near future.
