While achieving a high rank in all battles isn’t really required to complete the game, getting an S rank in most of the enemy encounters will allow you to reap some very nice rewards that will make your life easier.

As mentioned above, you will achieve a different rank depending on how well you have performed in battle. Each action you take in combat will make you earn a set amount of Battle Points, which are then used at the end to calculate your Rank.
- S Rank – 500 Points
- A Rank – 350 Points
- B Rank – 250 Points
- C Rank – 150 Points
- D Rank – 50 Points
As you can see, getting S Rank requires you to be pretty much perfect in battle. The easiest way to get a lot of Battle Points is to win the fight in as few rounds as possible: generally, winning a battle in 3 rounds is more than enough to make you achieve an S Rank. If you cannot win a fight quickly, however, there are other ways of obtaining Battle Points, such as winning head-to-head confrontations, riding your Monsties, using skills and special attacks, and use Kinship skills.
