Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin features a lot of different monsters to fight and add to your party, but getting all of them is not be easy at all. While many are readily available in the game’s fields, some of them have a very low spawn rate, so low that it may take a very long time to find one of them.

As mentioned above, finding monsters like Purple Gypseros can be difficult, as the monster has a very low spawn rate. If you’re particularly lucky, you may find one in any Monster Den in Lamure. If you’re not all that lucky, however, there is a guaranteed way to fight one of them.
A Purple Gypceros always appears in the Playing Dead subquest, which becomes available right after defeating the Rage-Rayed Diablos. Accept this sidequest at any Quest Board, then head over to the first floor of Lamure Tower to find and fight the Purple Gypseros. Use this opportunity to gather all the materials you need from the monster without having to wander Lamure in search of one.
