If you thought getting to the volcano in Burning Shores would be easy, that would be a lapse in judgment on your end. The quest called For His Amusement will have you looking for a way to open the volcano door, but to get to the armory, you will need to find Fedder… or at least, his door key.

How to Find Fedder’s Key in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores

After you reach the locked door and Aloy realizes she will have to look for Fedder, head back and leave the building. Move diagonally to the right in the first area with holograms until you get to the section with the big Brontosaurus sculpture. Go through the opening that will be on your left side to enter the area with a Specter.

We recommend sneaking past them to the area on the right side using tall grass as cover, but you can also fight it to complete the optional task. In the big section after the Specter encounter, keep heading left past various dinosaur holograms until you reach the building with a huge neon sign that says Raptor Raid.

This is as far as the map pointer will take you, and now you have to figure out where Fedder is on your own. Go through the passage to the left until you reach a door that Aloy can open without any problems. After the cutscene with Fedder ends, you will need to clear out the area with Quen guards using open combat or stealth—it’s up to you. Once you’re done, you will find Fedder on the ground in the middle of the room. Search him and get the key—and now you’re ready to open the armory and get to the volcano!
