Ruined King: A League of Legends Story features only a small part of the massive world of Runeterra, but this doesn’t mean that Bilgewater and the nearby islands are so small that the game doesn’t need a fast travel option.
Thankfully, the game does indeed feature fast travel mechanics, but they feel quite limited, especially compared to other modern games. But they are still here, so here’s how to unlock and use them.
How to Fast Travel in Ruined King A League of Legends Story

Fast Travel in Ruined King A League of Legends Story, as mentioned above, is a little limited compared to other role-playing games as it can only be used in Bilgewater and it becomes available only after a certain point in the story has been reached.
To unlock fast travel, you will need to play the main campaign until Miss Fortune joins Illaoi, Braum, and Yasuo, at around 40% story progression. Once this happens, you can start exploring Bilgewater freely in search of side quests and treasure, and use the Gondola service to move from one district to another. You can use the Gondola to move between a limited amount of locations inside Bilgewater, as highlighted by a specific icon on the map, as shown in the image above, so you will have to move on foot if you have to get to a location not served by the Gondola.
Outside of Bilgewater, there isn’t a true fast travel option in Ruined King A League of Legends Story. At some point during the story, you will be able to use Miss Fortune’s The Charming Lady ship to travel between islands but this works more as a traversal mechanic, rather than pure fast travel.
Exploration is a big part of the Ruined King experience, after all, so a more comprehensive fast travel option would have ruined it. Could you imagine how much amazing loot you may have missed along the way?
