Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, like its predecessor and pretty much every other entry in the series, places a great emphasis on combat, but exploration does make up a big part of the experience as well. With so many locations filled with secrets, it’s not surprising to see deep exploration mechanics that make the entire endeavor extremely satisfying.
But what about when you need to travel from one area to the other without wanting to explore everything thoroughly? You use the game’s fast travel mechanic, of course. Here’s how to.
How to Fast Travel in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
To fast travel in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin you will need to unlock Catavan Stands first. These facilities, which are highlighted on the map as cat paws, will allow you to fast travel between unlocked stands, and even save your game if you need to do so for any reason.
To use Catavan Stands, you need to press the + button to access the map, press the X button to access the list of all Catavan Stands unlocked, and then select one to fast travel to its location. Interestingly enough, the menu also shows the stands that have yet to be unlocked, so to help you do so if you want to unlock more fast travel options.
