How to Farm Bottle Caps in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin features, like its predecessor and all other entries in the franchise, tons of different items that can be used to craft gear found in locations all over the game’s world. Some of the items included in the game, however, are not easy to find, but there is still a way to get them without spending tens of hours searching for them, thanks to the Melynx Inc. merchants. You will need Bottle Caps to get these items, however, and they are, sadly, not particularly common.

How to Farm Bottle Caps in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

The most efficient way of getting Bottle Caps in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is to search Everdens. These Monster Dens are different from the regular ones, as they always appear in the same locations and are thus easy to find. Once you find one, head inside and open all treasure chests to obtain a variety of different materials, including Bottle Caps, which can be exchanged for hard-to-find items by Melynx Inc. merchants. To make things even easier, you can use the Nest Search Riding Skill which highlights all nearby dens.

Completing quests is another decent way of getting some extra Bottle Caps. Some of them offer Bottle Caps as reward so make sure to check the quest board as often as you can to spot the quests with the right rewards. While not as efficient as the Everden farming method, completing quests will still get you a decent amount of Bottle Caps for all your purchasing needs.
