How to Complete the Faith Leap Trial in BG3

Learn how to complete the Faith Leap Trial in Baldur's Gate 3 without any trouble with this handy guide.

The Gauntlet of Shar in Baldur’s Gate 3 has been my favorite location in Act 2 so far. So—many—puzzles! And one of the most exciting ones was the Faith Leap Trial. If you got to this part, you know what it looks like—you need to find a way across the chasm using invisible platforms to reach the other end of the chamber.

It is a literal leap of faith because you need to trust your guts and your luck for every step along the way—or do you, now? How to Complete the Faith Leap Trial in Baldur’s Gate 3

I’ll cut right to the chase—to complete the Faith Leap Trial in Baldur’s Gate 3, you just need to pay attention to the map that is in front of the statue that you start from. You have clearly marked locations of the other four statues in the dark space before you with several possible paths that you can take to reach the other end of the room.

To be honest, I completely ignored the map at first, and even when I figured out what it shows, I did struggle a bit. However, the path that was the easiest for me included starting on the left side, walking 3/4 of the way toward the first statue, and then jumping onto the platform. From the left statue, I continued straight, turned right in the middle of the gap, and jumped onto the left corner of the central platform. After that, I jumped from the center of the other side right to the middle of the gap and then jumped onto the final platform and grab that Umbral Gem.

If you can’t remember the path just from looking at the map, you can always take a screenshot or make a simple sketch on a piece of paper and consult it as you go. Moreover, you can even use a Flying spell on a member of your team or a Teleportation arrow. In case you don’t have access to any of those, you could try lowering your graphics settings, which should allow you to see the edges of the path you can walk on in the darkness.

We hope you get through this Faith Leap Trial with no trouble at all with these instructions. For more help with this game, you can check out our other guides in the dedicated Baldur’s Gate 3 section here on TouchTapPlay!
