Genshin Impact: Is Shenhe the Cloud Retainer?

Genshin Impact Shenhe Elemental Burst, Elemental Skill, Attacks, and More

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

Shenhe is a five-star Cryo element user and a Polearm wielder in Genshin Impact who is slated to release with version 2.4 update. After her initial reveal, the Genshin Impact community has been mesmerized by the character design and a few other aspects of Shenhe.

There is a good chunk of the Genshin Impact community who will get Shenhe during the version 2.4 update. Keeping that in mind, we have prepared a handy guide that talks about Shenhe’s Attack Talents, Elemental Burst, and her Elemental Skill.

By taking a look at Shenhe’s kit, players will be able to make the decision on whether she would be a great addition to their team or not.

Shenhe’s Attack Talents

Shenhe’s attack talent is called Dawnstar Shooter. And depending on a player’s response and attack type, they have different animations, stamina consumptions, damage, and other things.

Normal Attack

Perform up to five consecutive spear strikes.

Charged Attack

Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to opponents along the way.

Plunging Attack

Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing Area of Effect Damage upon impact.

Shenhe’s Elemental Skill

Shenhe’s Elemental Skill is called Spring Spirit Summoning. And as the name suggests, it summons a Cryo spirit that does the following things:

The frosted dew, silvery and dense, shall exorcise all demons.

Grants all nearby party members the Icy Quill effect and deals Cryo Damage in different ways based on whether it is clicked or held.

Press

Rushes forward together with a Talisman Spirit, dealing Cryo Damage to opponents along the path.

Hold

Commands the Talisman Spirit to deal Area of Effect Cryo Damage.

Icy Quill

When Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts deal Cryo Damage to opponents, the Damage dealt is increased based on Shenhe’s current Attack.

The Icy Quill effect will be cleared once its duration ends or after a certain number of stacks are consumed. Holding rather than pressing grants a longer duration and more stacks.

When one Cryo Damage instance strikes multiple opponents, stacks will be consumed based on the number of opponents hit. The Icy Quill effects and stacks on every party member will be counted independently generated.

Shenhe’s Elemental Burst

Shenhe’s Elemental Burst is called Divine Maiden’s Deliverance. It looks a lot similar to Kazuha’s Elemental Burst, Kazuha Slash. And because of that, many in the Genshin Impact community even call Shenhe, Cryo-Kazuha.

That aside, here is what Shenhe’s Elemental Burst does:

Unleashes the power of the Talisman Spirit, allowing it to roam free in this plane, dealing Area of Effect Cryo Damage.

The Talisman Spirit then creates a field that decreases the Cryo Resistance and Physical Resistance of opponents within it. It also periodically deals Cryo Damage to all opponents within the field.

That’s it for now. Make sure to check out our other coverage on the Genshin Impact version 2.4 update.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play gacha-based role-playing game currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS.
