The first person shooter game Midnight Star, developed by Industrial Toys, is finally going to come out of soft-launch mode soon. The team has confirmed that the game is finally going to become available globally next week, on February 5th.
Midnight Star is a game that managed to garner a lot of attention thanks to the many high profile developer that have worked on it. Chief among them is Alex Seropian, who is one of Bungie’s founders. The game’s story has been written by sci-fi author John Scalzi while Serj Tankian, of System Of A Down fame, has created the game’s soundtrack.
Midnight Star is a mobile first person shooter featuring both a single player campaign set in a world torn by war and a multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode is going to be asynchronous but it will still offer a high level of immersion as the rest of the game. Midnight Star is also going to be expanded over time, with multiple installments expanding not only the game’s story but also its gameplay experience.
Midnight Star will be released on the App Store next week, on February 5th. If you want to learn more about the game’s world, you can check out the Midnight Rises interactive novel.
