Excited for MU Origin 2? The Closed Beta Test Begins This March on Android

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Time flies when you’re having fun. It only seems like yesterday that MU Origin arrived on mobile stores worldwide, but that was three whole years ago. In that time, developer Tianma and publisher Webzen have toiled away once more to create a hotly anticipated sequel: MU Origin 2.

Whilst it’s already available for players in South Korea, China and Southeast Asia, its wider launch has one more step to go — the closed beta test, running from 29 March to 7 April, 2019.

If you want to get involved, you’ll need to be in North or South America and an Android user. iOS players and those in Europe will have to wait until the official release, unfortunately, but that shouldn’t be too much longer.

If you tick the boxes to be eligible, you can expect most of the contents of the full game at your fingertips already. You’ll have three character classes to choose from, familiar to fans of the franchise: Dark Knight, Dark Wizard and Elf.

Once you’ve settled on your favourite, you can start or join a guild, clear dungeons in explosive battles, farm for the best equipment and level up, and up, and up.

Don’t get too emotionally attached to your character, as all data will be wiped at the end of the beta test. However, you can still earn rewards redeemable afterwards; if you’ve completed the survey and climbed up to level 150, you’ll earn a special title to use on your next character.

There are also Facebook events promising coupons to use in the full release. Oh, and don’t forget — you’ll be helping smooth out any wrinkles in the game, whilst also taking a valuable test run so when you start over, you’ll be one step ahead of players who are brand new to MU Origin 2.

If you fancy playing around in the closed beta test of MU Origin 2, and you’re in North or South America, simply head to the game’s official website.
