You want to start playing EVE Echoes and you’re not sure which faction to choose? Then you’re in the right place. In today’s article, we are going to explore each faction and give you some details about what their strengths are.

So, feel free to check them all out and let me know which one you prefer and why. I personally like the Amarr ships, even though I really dislike their politics (due to their use of slaves). But, the diversity they offer in terms of ships is great. However, I went with Gallente because of their lore description.

Keep in mind that in the end, you can really train every faction and obtain every ship, so it doesn’t really matter. The factions differ mostly from an aesthetic (or moral) point of view.

Enough with the introductions though – let’s check out what you came here for. Here are the EVE Echoes factions:

Amarr – Gallente – Caldari – Minmatar

Before we begin though, I need to mention that I will not dive into their lore. There is no point in that, because you can read about it as soon as you start playing the game. Also, if you proceed with their faction storyline, you can discover more about each one of them.

Why Choose This:

– Good PvP stats.

– If you want to have an easier access to EVE’s second largest market.

– If you want to progress and unlock Servant Sisters of Eve ships.

Why Choose This:

– The Velator is a great Cyno ship – it’s also easily replaceable.

– If you are into PvE, Drones are great.

– If you want to train for Gila, you need to train Caldari and Gallente skills.

Why Choose This:

– If you like PvE and Missiles.

– If you want to start next to the biggest market, Jita (but it won’t matter in the end, because you can travel there in about 10-15 minutes once you learn the route).

Why Choose This:

– Harder to train, but great ships.

– Good for PvP (extremely defensive).

What’s the Best Faction to Play in EVE Echoes?

There is no definitive answer to this question. All of the factions are great, but since you can progress towards all of them, there is no right or wrong choice. So, feel free to choose the one you like the most (in the character creation screen) and progress towards the ship/faction you want to play.
