Most Nintendo Switch players will be pissed to know that Dying Light 2: Stay Human has been delayed once again after it was originally scheduled to release on February 4, 2022.
While there’s no specific reason that led to its delay on Switch, other than “providing fans with the gaming experience at the level they deserve,” all other platforms will get the game on February 4, 2022, as scheduled.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is an action RPG and the sequel to 2015’s Dying Light, both of which are about slaying zombies, parkouring around the city, and staying away from the dangerous zombie variants that come out at night. Players can scavenge resources to craft weapons and tools to help them survive.
The major difference between the console version of the game and the Switch version is the ability to enjoy it on a handheld console and the use of Cloud technology.
The game has previously been delayed in the past as well. It was moved from late 2020 to December 7, 2021, then it was moved to February 4, 2022, and now it has been shifted yet again to an unannounced future release date.
Meanwhile, Tymon Smektala, the game’s lead designer, told MP1ST, “The game is going to be released next year in February, and that’s what we’ve focused on, that’s what we’ve worked on. So absolutely zero chance of [more delays] happening.”
However, delays are no surprise on the Nintendo Switch as other titles such as Life is Strange: True Colors was released for Switch two months after it launched on other supported consoles. Fall Guys still has no official release date, and Genshin Impact also hasn’t made its way to Nintendo Switch.
