Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot features a lot of different characters, but only a small fraction of them are actually playable. Others will support Goku and his friends as Support Characters, whose efficacy changes depending on their current friendship level.
Here’s everything you need to know about friendship and how to raise it to receive the best combat support you can get.
How to Raise Friendship in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Support Characters in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be able to help Goku and the other main playable characters as long as there is support gauge available. By raising friendship, you are able to expand the support gauge of any particular character, thus making it easier for them to support you while in battle.
To increase Friendship Level with any character, first, you will need to find their Soul Emblem. Once you do, you can finally increase their friendship level by giving them gifts. To do so, you need to get into the Main Menu, then Community and Soul Emblems. In the Soul Emblems menu, choose one, pick the Gifts option, select the Gift and then confirm your selection. Doing so will also increase the character’s proficiency, making it easier to activate the buffs of any Community Board their currently contributing to.
By raising the Friendship Level, you can also get three different rewards from each character, so it definitely pays off to become friends with all these different characters!
