Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot: How to Defeat Ginyu & Jeice

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

The Ginyu Force is Frieza’s elite combat squad, so it is not surprising to see them being stronger than any other enemy you have fought so far in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The final two fights, however, are difficult not due to the strength of Burter and Ginyu, but due to the fact that you will also be fighting Jeice, who attacks you from afar and disrupts your offensive.

How to Defeat Ginyu and Jeice in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

You will fight Ginyu and Jeice two times during the Frieza Saga. In the first fight, you will control Goku, while in the second you will control Gohan to take down Ginyu after he stole Goku’s body. Despite this change, his moveset doesn’t change, making the fights slightly easier.

Unlike what you might have expected, Ginyu isn’t particularly strong. He only comes with two attacks, the short-range Cross Chop and the long-range Milky Cannon, which are easy to dodge as they require some charging before they can be unleashed. This gives you the chance of dealing some quick damage with basic combo attacks before you have to get out of the way. After using either attack, Ginyu will be defenseless for a short while, allowing you to use any Special Attack in your arsenal.

Who complicates this fight is Jeice, as he only uses long-range Ki attacks that will interrupt you more often than expected. As such, it’s a very good idea to go after him first. Use Kamehameha with Goku or Masenko with Gohan as often as you can, as the range of the two attacks is wide enough that Ginyu may be caught in it, giving you some breathing room and a chance to go after Jeice without getting interrupted.
