Darkrai Quest in Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Everything We Know So Far

With the new trailers of Pokemon Legends: Arceus releasing back to back, new features, story elements, as well as Pokemon are being revealed, causing the hype for Pokemon Legends: Arceus getting to an all-time high.

Darkrai will not be accessible to just anybody playing Pokemon Legends: Arceus. In order to add Darkrai into your team, you will need to have a save file from either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl on your Nintendo Switch’s system.

Only if the save file is present, you will be allowed to accept the research quest that lets you find and capture Darkrai. This may be a disappointing discovery for many, but The Pokemon Company was always clear about the fact that Pokemon Legends: Arceus and the Pokemon BDSP are going to be tied together in many ways.

The pure Dark type Pokemon, Darkrai, was originally quite the threatening Pokemon in the mainline series games, being super quick and strong while possessing its signature move that put all opposing Pokemon to sleep. Its ability then further caused passive damage to sleeping Pokemon.

Will Darkrai retain its nightmarish reputation in Pokemon Legends: Arceus? Only time will tell. Pokemon Legends: Arceus releases for the Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022, worldwide.
