If you are familiar with this type of games, you know that it will take a little bit of time to get all set up, because leveling up the buildings takes quite some time at start – not to mention later on when you reach higher levels. But worry not, we got you!

So let’s not waste another second and get right into our Civilization War tips and tricks right here below!

Choose your civilizations!

Right when you start off the game, you will be asked to choose between the two factions: Eastern Civilizations and Western Civilizations. Here’s a little bit about them:

Eastern Civilizations include nations from Asia, such as China, Korea, Japan and India, whereas Western Civilizations include England, Egypt, Islamic Empire and Rome.

I chose the Eastern Civilizations because I am fascinated about the Japanese, so if you like any of the civilizations in particular, go for it!

Test your luck with the slot machine

Whenever you are in game you might see on the right side of the screen a shiny interesting thing! Well, it’s the slot machine! Whenever you see it available, spin it. The more combinations you make, the more currency you get!

This currency you obtain can then be used in the slot machine store to purchase many goodies, from resources to boosts and more. So whenever you get the opportunity to play and try your luck, do it! (but keep it in game, don’t take it out into the real world!)

Build the starting resource farms

When you start the game you will see around your Northern forests spaces to build stuff. I suggest building 4 of each buildings, as follows: 4 Farms, 4 Lumber Yards, and underneath them 2 Hospitals and 2 Army Camps. The 4 Farms and Lumber Yards are super important because you will use them to gather resources.

Also, once you have built those, try upgrading them to the max level available, until you level up your Castle. And once you increase your Castle’s level, keep upgrading them. Don’t worry about anything else, because once you upgrade them you will constantly have good resource income.

Pick up the lost rewards

There will often be rewards waiting for you at certain placed in the game. One of those places is on the shore, where you can find random goodies. Every now and then keep checking this location because you won’t regret it.

Another reward that comes for you every once in a while is the carriage. This will appear on the West side of the Castle Wall, so you can’t miss it!

If you don’t want to keep looking for these, you can see their icons on the left side of the screen. They will be situated next to the “Skill” icon, so if they aren’t there, it means that the rewards are not available yet! Be a little bit more patient!

Join an active Alliance

By joining a good and active Alliance, you will increase in power. Unfortunately, you will have to wait a little to take advantage of being in a good Alliance, because there is a time that you need to be a member for, but once this is past, you can enjoy all the perks it comes with.

I also suggest giving Aid to your other allies, because you will want them to help you back! This will reduce the time needed to complete constructions, so it is super helpful!

Another cool feature here is the Alliance Shop. In the Alliance Shop, you can buy many goodies without spending your resources, but instead by spending Honor Points (which you earn by contributing to the Alliance).

I suggest saving up 400k Honor Points and buy a Premium Relocate Ticket so you can move your Castle somewhere inside your Alliance’s base. Other than that, you can of course buy the VIP Points or the Speed-ups, because all of them are useful.

Adventure in the Gates of Ordeal

This is a dungeon style adventure, and it will let you find random items all throughout the dungeon. I suggest clearing all the levels up to stage 3, because that’s when you unlock the Auto function which will let your soldiers explore automatically.

Of course, you will still have to enter and select the stages, but with the Auto function you don’t have to do anything basically! So I strongly suggest that you do it.

Another important thing is that you use your tickets to enter always, because they renew every every day! So it’s a waste not to use them, really.

Check your townsmen

You can often see some of your townsmen having question marks in bubbles above their heads. That means that they can provide you an extra mission, which will often reward you with resources.

The requests they have aren’t difficult at all, so make sure you do these missions if you want some extra resources.

Explore the Ruins

Once you unlock the Ruins you can start excavating there for unique relics. This will take time (quite a lot of it, honestly) so if you can, start doing this before you close the game. It’s good to set up the exploration missions, especially the super long ones, right before you go to bed for example, because once you are awake you will find yourself some goodies.

Upgrade the buildings for free

Whenever you have about 10-15 minutes left of a building towards its completion, you can tap the “Free” button to finish that upgrade for free. But there’s more – you also receive, every now and then from quests and online rewards, some boosts which will help you reduce some of that timer.

These can be super useful in the late game, especially the 1h speed-ups. I suggest that you save them for when you want to upgrade the Castle to super high levels, because I think it’s quite a waste to use it early on when things are done relatively quick.

Another thing you need to do is wait for your Alliance mates to help you speed up the building process before you use any boosts. This will matter quite a lot, probably more than you think!

Hire that extra helping hand

For 250 Gold you can hire an extra set of builders, and I suggest that if you want to level up your Castle (and other buildings) quickly, you should do this. It’s really worth the investment, so if you want to quickly get into the game, invest in the builders’ power!
