Citytopia is all about commerce and infastructure, so we will show you how to get things done in the most efficient way. Let’s get started with our Citytopia cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Complete the Active Missions!

You will always have a set of three active missions at any given time, and you should work to complete as many of them as you can. Active missions will reward you with progress stars, coins, and most importantly free card packs which will help you develop your city faster.

Don’t build too much of one type of product!

It is important to keep in mind, for the sake of your city, that once a facility sets a product, it CANNOT change unless that facility in question unlocks an additional slot. For example, when you set your starting factories and shops to stock bread, the only good they will be able to hold is bread – nothing else!

With this information in mind, be very sure not to build too many Bread factories and shops at the beginning of the game. Your facilities will not be able to unlock additional goods slots until much later in the game, so those facilities will be stuck with just bread.

Whenever you unlock a new type of good, your citizens will demand a lot of that good, and if you have made too many of the previous good, you will put yourself in a hard place!

Use the appropriate transports!

When you are deciding on what buses and trucks to use for your city, take a look at your current situation. For example, if you have a lot of houses, that means you have a lot of potential workers that need to get to work, so you would probably want to opt for the bigger buses.

Just remember that you can switch out your transports freely. In the Downtown Hub, you may change your buses and trucks for free. Removing a vehicle will refund you the full amount of transport fees, but just keep in mind that you will have to pay the fee again if you put the vehicle back.

Upgrade existing buildings!

Buying new plots of land for your city may be relatively reasonable early on, but the prices for it ramp up very quickly, and if you are buying plots of land left and right you will soon find yourself out of coins! Instead, the more cost efficient way is to upgrade your existing facilities.

Excess building cards can be sacrificed in order to upgrade your old buildings into shiny new ones! Houses will hold more people, factories can hold more workers and produce more goods, and stores can hold more goods.

Observe your city to decide on what to build next!

There is no clear progression route in Citytopia, besides the obvious progress stars collecting and leveling up. What you build next is entirely up to, as the Active Missions will often not ask you to build specific facilities. To decide on what to build next, simply just sit still and watch your city for a bit.

Are you running out of workers? Build more homes and less factories! Are you running short on coin? Build more stores and factories! You just need to see what you are lacking in the most, and then build accordingly!

That’s all for Citytopia! If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!
