BTS Universe Story is not a traditional mobile game, but there are lots of things that can help you progress through it regardless, and we will go over them here in our BTS Universe Story guide. Let’s jump right into our BTS Universe Story cheats, tips, and tricks strategy guide to start your BTS journey!

Start your Journey with the Official Story Collection

Starting the game up for the first time will present you with a short introduction of the official story’s premise: Seokjin, one of the members of BTS, laments the events that have transpired leading up to the break up of BTS.

A mysterious dream happens and Seokjin realizes that he can travel through time, but at the torture of having to watch his friends meet horrible fates. Seokjin sets out to make things right as he aims to resolve each member’s history to ensure that things do not end on such a sad note this time around.

As such, your first place to start in this game should be the official story, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life < I’M FINE >”. The tutorial will prompt you to go read this story first to ensure you do not get lost among the game’s somewhat busy interface.

You will be able to play the first story “How to Offer a Hand” for free. This story focuses on Namjoon as he has a particularly nasty run-in with a rude customer.

This intro story will teach you the basics of the game, not that there is much to know. The story will play out in a typical visual novel fashion, and you can set it up so that the scene auto advance so you can treat it like a movie.

At certain points of the story you will be asked to pick one of two choices. The story will change depending on what you choose, but do not worry as all routes will eventually lead into the same path.

Once you finish “How to Offer a Hand” all the way through, you are free to explore on your own. Though, you will probably want to stick to the community stories for now, as the rest of the official stories cost jewels to unlock, which is this game’s premium currency.

Playing Community Stories

Now that you have an idea how the game is structured, the next best place to go is the community stories hub. Popular and recommended stories are listed at the top, and you can search for your own stories if you are looking for something with a specific BTS member.

Playing a story episode will require a ticket, which is basically the energy of this game. You start out with a maximum cap of four tickets, and they will regenerate automatically on their own over time.

If you receive extra tickets from achievements or promotional events and you are already at maximum capacity, do not worry as the tickets will be temporarily added to your pool.

Once you complete a story, you will earn some gold and you can leave a comment and a like if you loved the story. There are certain achievements that require you to do this, so do not forget!

The most popular stories will be featured on the front page, but there are tons of community created stories that are waiting to be discovered. Be sure to use the search function and look for more stories featuring your favorite members!

The Affinity System

You may have noticed that when making a choice in a community story, a little popup appear showing you that your affinity has increased with a certain member. Each BTS member has their own affinity level.

The affinity level is supposed to represent how much that member in particular likes you. You can see your total affinity levels by going into your profile and tapping on the white heart at the top right corner of the screen.

So, what does affinity do exactly? Well, community creators can add affinity-locked choices in their stories if they so wish. What that means exactly is that you will not be able to pick a certain choice if you are not familiar enough with the character in question.

Look for stories that focus on specific members if you want to improve your affinity with them. Most community stories focus on one or two members at most, and you can get affinity points from them.

Once you have enough affinity points you can revisit old stories that had affinity-locked choices and see another outcome!

How to Get More Coins, Jewels, and Tickets

There are three currencies in BTS Universe Story: coins, jewels, and tickets.

Coins are the basic currency that can be earned by completing achievements and finishing stories all the way through. You can spend your coins on fun accessories for the group to use in the photo mode. The coin shop is a little hidden – you have to enter the shop and scroll ALL the way to the bottom to find it.

Jewels, as we mentioned, are the premium currency of the game. You can earn them from completing achievements or you can pay real money for them. Jewels are used for unlocking official story episodes and drawing from the special outfit gachas.

Tickets are your energy and they are used to play episodes. They will recharge on their own and you can earn additional tickets by completing certain achievements.

You are going to have to start saving up now if you want to play more of the official stories. Logging into the game for seven days straight will get you 30 jewels a day for a total of 210 jewels, which is just enough to unlock one official story.

After that, there are no more achievements to earn jewels from, so you will have to wait for the next event or buy the episodes with real money.

Try Creating a Story and Use Photo Mode

The other half of BTS Universe Story is creating your own story. This game is basically allowing any kind of BTS fanfiction come to life with 3D models and nice background art, so let your imagination go wild!

You can earn some coins and even jewels if your story becomes popular enough, so why not take a crack at it? There are two editors: a simple one for beginners, and a pro one that has all the features.

We recommend starting out with the beginner editor just to get a feel for it, then move onto the pro editor. You have almost everything at your disposal and you do not have to worry about paying for extra assets, so have at it.

There is one more feature of BTS Universe Story, and this is for the people who love to play dress up: the photo mode, which can be accessed by tapping the photograph button with a person on it.

In photo mode you can take pictures of your favorite members or all of them at the same time if you wish. You have your own virtual photo booth so you can change their pose, looks, clothes, and more! Remember that you can buy more accessories to dress them up with from the coin shop.

And that is about all we have for BTS Universe Story. Enjoy the community stories and make sure to take a crack at making your own! If you have anything else to add, let us know in the comments!
