The new year is right around the corner, so what other way to celebrate it than to ring it in with BitLife, the game where anyone can be anything! To mark the beginning of 2022, BitLife‘s newest challenge is all about making resolutions… and sticking to them! Today, we’ll show you how to complete the New Year, New You challenge in BitLife!
BitLife New Year, New You Challenge
To complete the New Year, New You challenge, you must fulfill the following objectives:
- Change your name
- Go on 3+ different cruises
- Go on 10+ first class vacations
- Obtain every license
- Emigrate to another country
The twist? You must complete ALL objectives in the SAME year! You must do all of the above without aging, so don’t attempt this challenge until you’re ready. It’s preferable that you do it later in your life, once you’ve amassed some money – you’re going to need a lot!
The first objective is easy. To change your name, simply go into Activities, Identity, then choose Name Change. This costs $200 to do. Your name change may fail for whatever reason, but just try again, and it’ll eventually work.
Secondly, it’s time to go on some cruises! You can find the Cruise option under the Vacation tab in Activities. There are three different cruises: Mexico, Bahamas, and Nile River. You must do all three for the objective, and it’ll cost you anywhere between $1,000 to $3,000. If you want to save some money, make sure to choose the Interior cabin type.
Your vacationing days aren’t over just yet! Now, you’ll have to go on 10 first class vacations. You can find the Vacations option under the same tab, right next to the Cruises. It doesn’t matter where you go, you just need to go on ten vacations. The trip costs can vary greatly, with some trips priced as low as $2,000 to as expensive as $20,000, so if you’re trying to save money we recommend going through each destination and comparing prices. The list generates randomly every time you take a vacation.
The fourth objective is to acquire all three licenses in the game: boating, driving, and pilot. This is very important: normally, you’re automatically prompted to take your driver’s license as you’re growing up. Since we need to get all the licenses in the same year, make sure that you do NOT take the driving test when you’re young! When you’re ready to attempt the challenge, and you have enough money, go ahead and manually take the test in the License tab.
For the boating license, you’ll need to identify certain nautical items. Again, you can simply look up the item in question, and you’ll probably find it, but also you can usually take a safe guess using common sense. If you fail, it costs a measly $200 to retake.
For the pilot’s license, you’ll need to put in 40 hours of training at Flight School. It costs $165 an hour, so it’ll be about $6,660 for all 40 hours. For the actual test, it’s just like the previous two – most of the answers are pretty obvious, like guessing that a gauge that says Airspeed on it is an Airspeed Meter.
Once you have all three licenses, it’s time to complete the final step. Emigrate to any other country using the option in Activities, and with any luck they’ll approve your request. Finalize the move, and congratulations – you have officially completed the New Year, New you challenge!
