Strategy
Renekton is a dangerous loose cannon, able to dive into the enemy team and tear up a single targets thanks to his high burst damage and stunning capabilities. His passive, Reign of Anger, generates Fury for Renekton whenever he lands basic attacks. When he has over 50 Fury, Renekton’s next ability will be enhanced. Keep a close eye on your Fury, as it’s the key to getting the most out of Renekton’s diving ability.
Cull the Meek is Renekton’s first ability, and he spins around with his blade, dealing damage, generating Fury, and restoring health per enemy hit. With Reign of Anger active, Cull the Meek deals more damage and triples the health restored. Cull the Meek lets Renekton clear waves of minions out quickly, and it’s also invaluable in a team fight. Get right in the middle of the enemy team and use it to get back lots of health.
Ruthless Predator is Renekton’s second ability. It empowers his next basic attack, making him strike twice while stunning the opponent for a split second. With Reign of Anger active, Renekton strikes three times and the stun lasts longer. Ruthless Predator can bully enemies out of lane because of how threatening the stun is. If Renekton ambushes a lane and has enough Fury, Ruthless Predator can easily secure a kill if you have a teammate to back you up.
Slice and Dice is Renekton’s final basic ability. He dashes in a pointed direction, dealing damage to anything in the way and generating Fury. If the first dash hits an enemy, Renekton may perform a second dash for a few seconds afterwards. With Reign of Anger active, the second dash deals more damage and lowers armor.
Dominus is Renekton’s ultimate, granting him temporary health and Fury, while also granting passive regeneration for both. He also kicks up a sandstorm around himself, dealing magic damage to anything nearby.
Renekton’s abilities all encourage him to be very aggressive. With Slice and Dice, Renekton can dash into an enemy to catch them by surprise, then follow it up with a stun from Ruthless Predator and Cull the Meek. Renekton can deal a lot of damage on his own, but when he roams from lane to lane, he can help his team put enemies in bad positions.
When big team fights break out, Renekton is the perfect assassin to take out priortiy targets in the back line. With Slice and Dlice and Dominus, Renekton can buff himself up enough to reach his targets, and then shred them to pieces with Ruthless Predator and Cull the Meek. With Blade of the Ruined King and Black Cleaver, Renekton can easily secure kills all on his own.
