These Social Stats return in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, but they work in a very different way, compared to the main entries in the series. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

All Social Stats in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Explained

Social Stats in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, as mentioned above, work quite differently from the other entries in the series. Instead of locking content and features, such as new Social Links levels, in the fighting game developed by Arc System Works they indicate the player’s performance at the end of an Arcade Mode or Score Attack run.

The Social Stats in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax are Courage, Knowledge, Diligence, Expression and Understanding, and they improve depending on your performance in combat. If you play well, hit your opponents fast and hard, use SP attacks effectively and use your defensive options well, these stats will be quite high at the end of your run.

So, should you worry about these Social Stats in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax? Not really, as they just indicate your level of performance against AI controlled opponents, who play quite differently from human controlled ones. One of the Social Stats, however, may help you get better at the game even against human players, and that is Expression. The higher the value, the longer your combos have been, so if you want to improve this stat, you will have to use all your cancels, including One More Cancels, effectively, something that will eventually let you improve as a player even against other human opponents.
