Gratitude Crystals in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD are a special type of currency that can only be used to trade with Batreaux. There’s a total of 80 Crystals in the game: 15 are obtained by exploring Skyloft at night while the other 65 are obtained by completing sidequests. Before you can start collecting them, however, you will have to complete the Finding Kukiel sidequest.

  • 5 Crystals – Medium Wallet – Increases the max number of Rupees you can hold at one time to 500.
  • 10 Crystals – Piece of Heart
  • 30 Crystals – Big Wallet – Increases the max number of Rupees you can hold at one time to 1000.
  • 30 Crystals – Cursed Medal (Inside a chest beside Batreux) – Increases Rupee and treasure drop rate from enemies and objects, but prevents you from opening the pouch.
  • 40 Crystals – Gold Rupee
  • 50 Crystals – Giant Wallet – Increases the max number of Rupees you can hold at one time to 5000.
  • 70 Crystals – 2 Gold Rupees
  • 80 Crystals – Tycoon Wallet – Increases the max number of Rupees you can hold at one time to 9000.
