Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance is a game that hails from a very different gaming era, an era where DLC did not exist and additional content and modes were hidden behind cheat codes. This classic game is now available on Nintendo Switch, as well as on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it feels like the original in pretty much every way, as most of the cheat codes included in the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube release still work.
Here are all the cheat codes in Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, as well as a few secrets that you will have to work hard to unlock
All Cheat Codes and Secrets In Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance
As mentioned above, most of the original cheat codes work in the new version of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, with the exception of a single one.
Instant Level Up
To level up your character instantly, you need to press L, ZR, X, Left and the right stick at any time during gameplay. Unlike in the original, you will not be leveled up instantly to level 20, but only to level 7 and with an extra 124 Gold. Health and Mana will be at 150 and you will also get a +1 in all feats.
Level Warp and Invincibility
To access what pretty much is a God Mode in Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, all you need to do is hold L, ZR, Left and X and then press +. If successful, you will get access to a special menu that will let you activate invincibility as well as warp to any level in the game. This is a great cheat for messing around, so we suggest you do not use it if you haven’t completed the game yet.
The Gauntlet is an additional level that will put your Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance skills to the test. To unlock this new level, all you need to do is complete the game at any difficulty level.
Extreme Mode is the ultimate Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance challenge. It is the highest difficulty setting available in the game, and one you want to take on only if you have complete mastery of the game. To unlock this mode, you must complete the Gauntlet
