It has been some time since Fortnite was taken off the App Store, and it seems like it won’t be coming back anytime soon, considering how the lawsuit went. Still, there have been some workarounds to play the most popular battle royale ever made on iOS devices, and a new way to enjoy the game on these devices has been provided by an unexpected party: Microsoft.
Here’s how you can now download and play Fortnite on iOS
There is a New Way to Download Fortnite Now That It is Back on iOS
On May 5, 2022, Microsoft confirmed that Fortnite is now playable on iOS, iPadOS, Android phones and tablets and Windows PC with Xbox Cloud Gaming for free. To play the game, all you need to do is to head over here, and log in with a Microsoft account.
As no installation or membership is required, Fortnite is once again available to all iOS users who want to play it for free. The Xbox Cloud Gaming version also offers support for both native touch controlls or traditional controls with a support controller.
According to Microsoft, Fortnite is only the first free-to-play game that will be offered via Xbox Cloud Gaming for free, so we should expect more popular titles to make it onto the service, potentially expanding the iOS game library with titles that are not available on the App Store.
