If you manage to land the last hit that kills one of your opponents, you will take their skull as a trophy! Gruesome, but rewarding – if you collect enough skulls, you will be able to open a chest full of item cards and coins. Try to destroy as much of the opposition as you can!
Complete the daily quests!
Every day you are given a set of quests full of random objectives. Completing a quest will reward you with some coins and a gem. The harder the quest is, the more coins you will receive, but you will always receive one gem.
These quests are only around for the day, so try to knock out as many as you can before you stop playing for the day.
Keep playing courses!
The courses in Thief Rivals all have certain themes, and the course layout actually changes a bit between runs. The general shape of the course usually stays the same, so you can expect the same drops and inclines.
The only way to get better at these course is through rote memorization, so simply play the course as many times as you can to memorize it!
Build a balanced battle deck!
There are five types of item cards. Traps are set and forget to leave nasty surprises behind for opponents behind you. Weapons are thrown out in front of you in order to take out the lead runners.
Shields protect you and heal you from enemy items. Dash items gives you a nice boost while providing other effects. Finally, Special items have unique uses to them!
You can take up to three item cards with you into a race. Try to have a balanced deck to ensure that you are ready for any situation. One trap, one shield, and one weapon is a good starting point, and you can adjust it to more closely match your playing style.
Each item has its own properties and functions differently, so make sure to try them all and see which ones you like.
Get all the rank points in a course before you move on!
Do not feel pressured to immediately move onto a new course once you unlock it! In fact, it may even be better to stay and max out the previous level. You see, each level has a certain amount of rank points you can earn from it before you cannot earn any more.
Even though you are not earning rank points, you can still earn coins plus you do not have to deal with a new course and people having strong items.
