Glu Games is giving hip hop star wannabes a chance to actually get noticed (at least virtually) in Nicki Minaj: The Empire, their latest celebrity sim game. This is very similar to other games launched by the developer in the past, like Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, Demi Lovato: Path to Fame and so on. However, this new game brings a bunch of interesting new elements to the table, like the possibility to record your own rap verses or chat with friends in the game. 1. Make dialog choices with Show Biz in mind
Follow your heart when making choices when it comes to dialogs in the game, but also use your brain! It appears that at least some of the choices that you make matter and have an influence (although slight one) on the game. Make the right choice and you can get extra fans or money or even unlock new stuff! Also, if you have the Premium currency, always use it to boost the outcome of chats. However, the latter is not a must and you can still go through the game without a problem, although your progress will be slower.
2. Add friends!
Friends are extremely important in Nicki Minaj: The Empire and you should add as many as possible. No only that it is more fun to play with friends and you can invite them over, but you can also get extra likes for your recorded songs, which translate in better sales and increased star value for you. Make sure that you vote for your friend songs as well and everybody will be happy. And always add more: the more you have, the better!
3. Always 5-star everything
Every mission that you start is extremely important in the game and you should always start them when you are 100% sure that you have enough energy to get the 5 stars. Otherwise, your progress will be a lot slower and you might miss out on important things. So always start missions when your energy bar is full or when you are close to leveling up and a few actions will level you up so that you get the energy refill.
If a full energy bar is not enough, make sure to come back in time for getting the remaining stars after some time passes and you get some energy back. DO NOT try the time lapse cheat (setting the time forward on your device) as it doesn’t work and could potentially destroy the game for you.
Finally, always keep an eye on the star meters for all missions and optimize energy consumption: start with the actions that cost the most energy as they offer the best rewards, but when you’re nearing the end, make sure that you perform an action that gives you exactly the amount of stars needed to ace the mission. In other words, if you only need 1 or 2 stars to ace your mission, there is no point in doing a 5-energy action!
4. Style is important
Getting new clothes and wearing them is extremely important in the game. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t tell you how much style you will get when you purchase new things, but the Golden Rule of Thumb here is that the more you spend, the higher your Style meter increase will be. Always start missions that require a style bonus by meeting it or exceeding it to make your life a lot easier in the game.
5. Take advantage of the chat rooms
Chat rooms, the interesting addition to this game, are extremely useful for making new friends and boosting your likes and sales. So try to be as active as possible in the chat rooms to fully benefit out of this!
6. Record your own rap!
Nicki Minaj: The Empire offers this cool option to all its gamers: you can actually record your own rap songs over real beats that the game offers. The even better news is that Nicki herself will choose her favorite rap each week (or so the developers say), which might be a real life boost for some players out there. 7. Log in often throughout the day
It’s really important to try and log in often in the game. Many of the things happening in the game require a bit of time to pass before you get the results, so the sooner you get them, the sooner you get new missions and climb up the ranks. So try to log in every 3 hours or so during the day in order to complete missions, get the results and collect your paychecks. It’s a time management game after all, and managing time correctly is the key to getting to the A list fast!
