Match special pieces!

As is the case with any match-3 puzzle game, special pieces are the key to beating the levels in a timely manner. The special pieces in My Home Design Dreams are pretty similar to other match-3 games, so you might be familiar with them.

  • Matching four pieces creates a drill. Drills will match all pieces in the row or column, depending on the direction they’re facing. You can move them once to detonate them, or you can simply tap on them twice.
  • T-shape or L-shape formations creates a bomb. Bombs blow up and match all nearby pieces. Just like the drill, you can move them once or tap them twice.
  • Square-shaped matches create missiles. When activated, missiles will match all adjacent pieces, then fly to a piece that you need to complete the level and match it. Great for getting those hard-to-reach pieces.

Conserve moves!

For every move you have left over once you complete your final objective, you will be rewarded with a random special piece somewhere on the board. They will all go off sequentially, meaning that you might even create more special pieces as regular pieces fall down onto the board.

Every match you get gives you bonus coins, so if you can conserve as many moves as you can, you will be rewarded with extra coins!

Try to find the “setups”!

When you first hop into a level, don’t make the first move you see right away. Instead, take a moment to observe the board. The beginning of a level is the only part of the level that isn’t randomized – all of those pieces have been set there on purpose. This means that some levels will have “setups” that you need to see to take advantage of.

Consider level 4 – there are three corner boxes that are separated from the main part of the board. Inside each of these boxes are three white pieces, with the one extra white piece off to the side. If you catch this, you will be able to make three missiles that will help you reach your goal faster.

Don’t miss your daily log in gift!

After completing level 4, you will unlock the daily gifts. You will need to log into the game at least once every day for seven days. If you can manage this, you will be rewarded with a special piece of furniture on the seventh day. It’s nice and pink, so don’t miss out on it. Even if you do, the daily log in gift rewards you with helpful stuff like boosters and money.
