Flip Skater will test your reflexes and timing, so be prepared for a challenging time! Do not fear though as we are here with our Flip Skater cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Master the timing!

At first, it may be a little troublesome for you to nail down the landing timing. The game simply states that your board must be lined up with the halfpipe, otherwise you will wipe out. This is a bit trickier than it sounds though, if you are not used to the timing!

The best way we can describe this is to get a general feel for the “flow” or a jump. Watch how fast your skater rotates when they are spinning, and then you can kind of gauge when you need to stop spinning. When you are first starting out, do not try to spin for as long as possible – you will almost always wipe out.

As a side note, sometimes it is better to land “into” your trick than it is to try to straighten out before hand. By this we mean holding the trick all the way until you land back in the half-pipe. This does not always work, but sometimes it may be the better choice!

Grab the pinatas!

In order to improve your skaters, buy more boards, and unlock new locations, you will need a hefty sum of coins on your hand. You will slowly collect coins as you perform runs, but the best way to get lots of coins is to find the pinatas.

Every hour, a pinata will spawn in the half-pipe at a certain height. You will need to pull off successful tricks to build up enough speed to reach the pinata.

String different tricks together!

Once you have unlocked a few tricks, maybe around three or four, you can start racking up big combo points. If you perform a different trick after a previous one, you can start a combo that will increase the amount of points you get. Be careful not to use the same trick in a row otherwise your score multiplier will reset! Going down your entire list of tricks in one jump is the best way to rack up tons of points, so make sure you nail this down!

Don’t upgrade the Skaters or Boards just yet!

You will notice that the future Skaters and Boards you can unlock have much better stats than the starting counterparts. You can spend coins to upgrade a Skater’s style and earnings, which increase the amount of points and coins you earn respectively. Boards can be upgraded in max height and acceleration, which can get you higher and faster.

While this may seem tempting at first, the cost to upgrade one node on the upgrade bar dramatically increases after each upgrade, so you will not be able to afford them early on.

Since you have the potential to unlock new skaters and boards from the prize machine, we recommend just holding out, especially considering that some of the later skaters and boards have better starting stats.
