Deckstorm: Duel of Guardians is an all new high-fantasy based collectible card game! 1. Always play by the elemental triangle!

Early on you will learn of the elemental properties each card has. Fire beats earth, earth, beats water, and water beats fire. When both you and your opponent has confirmed hands, be sure you examine your opponent’s hand and play your cards accordingly.

2. Go for the “Upper Hand”!

If your select three cards beat your opponent’s cards elementally, you will gain the “upper hand”. The upper hand allows all of your cards to attack first, completely ignoring the regular turn order. If you (literally) play your cards right, you can go a full wave without a single scratch on any of your cards! Always pay attention to your opponent’s hand and play your cards accordingly!

Obviously, you do not ever want to find yourself on the receiving end of an upper hand moment! Try to predict your opponent’s move and do not play too many cards of the same element. Additionally, you can also invest in Neutral cards. These cards are not strong or weak against any of the elements, and playing one of these is an automatic upper hand breaker.

3. Use your card spells as often as possible!

Your cards have special spells attached to them. These spells can be unleashed after a certain amount of turns have passed, and all you need to do is tap on the glowing spell icon below the card. When spells are used, there is a chance that they may level up and grow in effectiveness. To power up your spells, you will need to use them as much as you can, so try not to hang onto them for too long.

4. Play as efficiently as possible!

In order to get all three stars on a level, you will usually need to complete the duel within a limited number of turns. This means that your strategies and cards need to be on point – always be one step ahead of your opponent! Do not play cards randomly; take a second to think what are possible outcomes of the current decision you are about to make. It is worth it to work towards the stars as each one multiplies your rewards at the end, netting you more experience and gold.

5. Try out Spell Prep!

If your deck centers around specific cards’ spells, try utilizing Spell Prep. Spell prep starts you out with 15 points, and you can assign points to any of your cards’ spells. Each point assigned to a spell takes off one turn from its charge up period. For example, if you pour 3 points into a card that only needs 3 turns for the spell to be ready, that card’s spell will be ready immediately upon play! Experiment around and see what powerful early game setups you can pull off!

6. Take a break for some research!

You can set your guardian cards to research to gain some additional goodies. The higher rarity the card, the bigger the head start bonus will be, so try to use your best cards! Of course, this means that you cannot use the card in battle, so it is best to save research for when you are going to take a break from the game. When you are out of energy or you are done dueling, set ups your research projects, as sometimes they will take hours to finish.
