1. Leave the coins there!
When you complete a customer’s order successfully, they’ll leave behind a tip which you must pick up manually yourself. If you’re feeling swamped and there are just too many people coming in at once, there’s a small trick you can do! If you don’t collect the money, another customer cannot take its place until you pick it up. You can do this on purpose to slow things down a bit. Just be careful though, as the money will automatically be collected after a couple of seconds have passed, so you can’t do this forever!
2. Try to memorize each customer’s order!
You might have not realized this at first, but each type of customer always orders the same one or two dishes! For example, the blonde girl with the cat will always order a round strawberry cake, with filling if you have it unlocked. Memorizing each different order will help you greatly in the long run, as you’ll be able to get more cakes and drinks started, knowing exactly what to make!
3. Take advantage of the holding plate!
After a couple levels in, you’ll unlock the holding plate. This does exactly what it sounds like: it holds things! Say you’ve completed a cake that you know is going to get bought, but the right customer hasn’t shown up yet. Just put it in here and wait until they do, and you’ll have a cake ready to go for them! Try to predict what kind of cake or drink you’re going to be making the most in that level and be preemptive about it!
4. Collect tips in rapid succession!
If you’re timing is well or you just get lucky and collect tips in a row, you’ll earn a chain bonus. You’ll know you did it right when you see the words “Chain!” appear at the top left corner. This goes with the first tip, which is why you should always leave tips around when you can! Wait until you’ve got multiple tips lying on the counter, then collect them all in one go. The longer your chain is, the better your bonus!
5. Complete the goals!
The upgrades in this game get extremely expensive really fast, and the only feasible way you’ll be able to afford them is to complete the goals. The goals are optional objectives that you can fulfill during any level. Most of them offer a nice amount of coins as a reward for completion, but sometimes you can even get tickets and other goodies. Try to do as many of these as you can!
