The King of Fighters is one of the longest fighting game series alongside the Street Fighter franchise and a few others. Very few series have managed to stand the test of time as the SNK series, with new games still getting released after 20 years.
On August 25th, The King of Fighters will be exactly 20 years old. To mark the occasion and celebrate it, SNK Playmore has launched today a new sale on the App Store, which discounts the entries of the series now available for iOS like The King of Fighters ’97, The King of Fighters 98′, The King of Fighters-i 2012 and The King of Fighters-i. All the games will be available for only $0,99, which is a terrific price.
As if all this wasn’t enough, other SNK Playmore titles are now available for reduced prices like Metal Slug 1, 2, 3 and X as well as Blazing Star and Samurai Showdown II. All the deals will expire on August 26th so make sure to take advantage of them as soon as possible. Most of these titles are really solid games, with The King Of Fighters ’97 and ’98 being exceptionally solid ports that do justice to the original games, despite some obvious differences.
