The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Now Available On iOS

The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a movie tie-in game developed by Gameloft, is now available for purchase on the App Store.

The game is the sequel of the game with the same name released last year on iOS and, as such, features a similar gameplay experience but several enhancements.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is an open world game that will allow gamers to explore the city of Manhattan with the webslinging abilities that are the trademark of the costumed hero created by Marvel. The city is actually quite detailed, with Times Square and Central Park as the most recognizable landmarks. The game seems to have received some nice improvements in the graphics department and combat so make sure to check it out if you’re a fan of the character and have enjoyed the first game.

Unfortunately the game comes with a few issues that are not strictly related to the gameplay experience. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will cost $4.99/£2.99, with some IAPs that are not required to complete the game but that may still bother some gamers. Also, it looks like you will require an active internet connection to play the game, meaning that you won’t be able to in places where you cannot connect, like on a plane. This is actually a really bad issue, considering this isn’t a free to play game.
