Movies tie-in games have always been seen as the worst possible thing that can happen to gamers. It hasn’t always been like this though, with some exceptionally good games getting released on consoles, like the NES and SNES Star Wars games and a few others.
At the same time, there have been some excellent super heroes games released during the years which have shown that it’s completely possible to develop nice games based on a license like older Spider-Man games and the Batman: Arkham Origins series.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is going to be a movie tie-in game based on one of the most recognizable costumes heroes ever created so how will the game be?
A brand new trailer has been released today for the game developed by Gameloft, which will launch later this week on the App Store. Judging from the trailer, the game really lookg better than its predecessor, which was fun for a short while but soon showed all its flaws, ultimately making it a really flat experience.
Even though there’s now way to know how much the gameplay experience has been enhanced by just looking at the trailer, it definitely shows how nice the game looks. You can just see for yourself by going at the end of this post.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will launch on the App Store on April 17th. The game is also going to be released on home consoles, handhelds and PC but it’s going to be a different gameplay experience than the iOS game.
