Some games require quite a bit of development time before being good enough for release. More complex games like role playing games often require even years of development time due to their complex mechanics.
Among the iOS role playing games that have been announced some time ago is The Shadow Sun, a Western role playing game developed by Ossian Studios. The game has been in development for a really long time and it almost looked like it was never going to be released.
The Shadow Sun was supposed to be released in late 2010. The game missed its release date so that the team could improve the game. And they really did, judging from the game’s official trailer, recently released by the team itself. You can take a look at it by going below.
Now the bad news. The game was supposed to be released before Fall 2013. Fall has come and it’s almost gone but there’s still no sign of the game. The trailer doesn’t even have a possible release window.
Judging by the facts in our hands, it looks like the game will not be available before the end of the year. While it’s a shame that iOS role playing game fans will still have to wait, we’re sure that the extra development time is going to be used wisely.
The Shadow Sun will be released on a yet to be revealed release date on the App Store. The game will be playable as an universal app.
