2K Games’ recent free-throwing sports title NBA 2K14 is the latest title to receive a mobile companion app titled MyNBA2K14 and players can download the app right now for free.
Developed by Visual Concepts (the same studio which developed NBA 2K14 proper) and Cat Daddy Games, the NBA 2K14 companion app allows users to connect to and interact with the console/PC version of NBA 2K14 in a variety of ways. Each day, users can earn up to 2,000 virtual currency points (which can then be redeemed in the full game) in the app’s MyGame mode and can also look up statistics and leaderboards for the full game’s MyCareer mode.
The app also has a shrunken-down version of the full game’s MyTeam mode, aptly titled MyTeam Mobile. Using MyTeam Mobile, players can assemble a deck of cards using their favorite teams and players before battling other app users and their decks through wireless online multiplayer.
Lastly, the app allows users to look up scores and stats for real-life NBA games using its 2K Ticker feature. Interested fans can check out the app in action in the trailer below and download the app for free from the iTunes app store.
