An all new chapter in the Dragon Ball Z universe is here! Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle is a new action game that has you assembling a team of fighters from across the Dragon Ball Z world. Work with Trunks as he tries to find the source of a dimensional tear that’s throwing the timeline of the Dragon Ball world into chaos! 1. Land exactly on the things you want!
During the adventure mode, events on the board will only activate if you land exactly on top of them. This means that you can skip things you don’t want, such as red spaces. Be sure to grab all the zeni and items along the way so you can prep for the boss battle!
2. Fight the enemies!
Enemies that are not marked with a big red STOP sign on the board are passable. If you don’t land on them, you can skip them. As appealing as that sounds, you should try to fight every enemy on the board. Every victory nets you some more zeni and experience for your fighters, making them stronger in the long run. Don’t run away too much!
3. Go for Ki bursts!
If you don’t have enough of the same type of ki spheres lined up for you to make a significant charge, you can always go for bursts instead. Bursts are when you have same-type ki sphere in the same row. It’ll count towards more charge for your fighter, so look for these instead if you don’t have a clear link.
4. Choose different types of fighters!
To ensure you are prepared for any battle, try to include a fighter from every type. Your team can hold six fighters, and there are five types, so you have room for one extra. This makes sure that you will always have at least one fighter that has an advantage over your opponent, and one that can defend properly.
5. Watch the battle timeline!
On the battle timeline, you can see if the enemy is going to attack you and if any link skills will happen. The battle plays out from left to right. Be sure to pay attention to the timeline before you launch an attack to make sure you’ve planned for everything! Remember that you can move your fighters around so that they attack in different positions.
6. Defend yourself!
While attacking with a fighter that is good against your enemy, it is even more important to know how to defend. If you see that your enemy is primed to attack, move one of your fighters that are strong against the enemy in front. For example, if a PHY type enemy is about to attack, defend yourself with a STR to dramatically reduce the amount of damage you take.
7. Send friend requests!
Before every stage, you can opt to bring an ally player with you. You should always do this as it earns you friend points. After you beat the level, you can then send a friend request to the player you allied with. Playing with that player again after you become friends nets you even more friend points! Friend points are important as you can use them to use the Friend Point Summon, which is the only way to get new characters besides the Dragon Stone Summon.
